💎 How Precious Jewels School Began: A Story of Faith, Vision, and Growth

Every great institution has a humble beginning — and the story of Precious Jewels School is a powerful testimony of faith, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to excellence.

🌱 The Vision Was Born

Before the school was ever established, the vision was nurtured through over three years of prayer, planning, and deep reflection by the Proprietors, Rev. Dr. & Mrs. Ofosu-Addo. What began as a heartfelt desire to provide quality and inclusive education for children gradually took shape into a mission that would transform lives.

The dream was simple yet profound:
To create an educational institution that would serve all children — including orphans, children with disabilities, and marginalized learners — while upholding godly values, discipline, and excellence.

🏠 A Humble Beginning (2015)

On 12th January 2015, Precious Jewels Kiddy Care officially opened its doors in Nsawam Bungalow with:

  • 4 pupils
  • 2 caregivers
  • Catechist Obed Asamoah as Manager
  • Mrs. Comfort Adom-Asare as Supervisor

The school operated from a modest location that many considered obscure. The environment was not particularly attractive, and financial resources were limited. The first three years were described as rough, contemplative, and unpredictable.

Yet, despite the challenges, the vision never wavered.

A special tribute is owed to the late grandmother, Beatrice Ama Karle, who selflessly gave up her home to make the beginning possible. Her sacrifice became the physical foundation upon which the school was built.

💪 Early Challenges and Determination

The journey was far from easy. There were financial constraints, low enrolment, and uncertainties about sustainability. However, with determination, prayer, and the support of committed parents and friends, the school pressed forward.

The parents of the first pupils played a crucial role. Their trust, encouragement, and commitment provided the momentum needed to keep the dream alive.

As enrolment gradually increased, additional staff were employed — including new teachers, a cook, a driver, and an experienced children’s tutor, Mrs. Rachael Gyapong — strengthening the school’s operations and learning environment.

🔄 A New Phase of Growth

After two years, management conducted a thorough performance evaluation and restructured the administration. The school transitioned into new leadership under:

  • Ms. Christabel Karle Ofosu-Addo as Administrator
  • Mrs. Gifty Amoatemaa as Head Teacher

This marked a turning point in the institution’s development. Under their leadership, the school experienced steady growth in:

  • Student enrolment
  • Staff strength
  • Academic quality
  • Infrastructure development
  •

What began as a preschool with four children gradually expanded into a full basic school serving over 150 learners.

🌟 A Vision Rooted in Faith

Throughout the journey, one conviction has remained constant:
When God’s work is done in God’s way, it never lacks God’s resources.

Precious Jewels School was not merely established as an academic institution — it was founded on strong Christian principles and a deep belief that every child is a “precious jewel” deserving of love, guidance, and opportunity.
